[ REVIEW ] SYNERGY #3 (The Noise Issue) / Summer 1993 > review by Steev Hise: The second in a series of "keyword books", publications based around - you guessed it - a key word. This one's word is "face". A previous release was Beheadings. Both are nicely printed books full of very strong, intense and creative graphic and textual art. Particular standouts in Defacings are Mark Laliberte's incredibly psychedelic drawings called "Face Abrasives" and the post-dada cartoon-story "2 Tales of 1 Girl with 3 Faces, at Once" by Aaron Linton and Jennifer Elliot.
